State Representative, House District 33
"Try this on for unique legislation. Last session, Dianne Primavera formed the Colorado Stem Cells Cure Fund, a voluntary income tax contribution that will fund the collection of stem cells from umbilical cords—a method of collecting stem cells that even the Bush Administration is behind. This could help thousands in need of blood and further research. Primavera also passed legislation last session that calls for creation of an easy-to-use website interface that will allow users to compare healthcare costs and benefits side-by-side in an apples-to-apples manner. While the majority Democrats failed to solve all of Colorado’s healthcare woes, many small steps were taken to improve access and affordability, and Primavera was behind many of them."
“AFT and Governor Bill Ritter agree, ‘Broomfield residents are fortunate to have Dianne Primavera as their State Representative. Dianne’s dedication and effectiveness have truly benefited the citizens and communities she serves.’”
"First-term incumbent Democrat Dianne Primavera has focused primarily on health care. But she also has more practical ideas about solving Colorado's transportation problems than Republican challenger Nick Kliebenstein." - The Denver Post 10/17/2008

To Quote the Broomfield Enterprise:
"With one term under her belt, Primavera is the more-seasoned choice for this race. Not only does she know the workings of the Capitol, but she brings a work history from state agencies to the table, too. Her priorities also start with the economy and health care. And she has a track record of legislation that has tackled health issues. Among her work, she co-sponsored a bill that brings transparency to health insurance, allowing customers to honestly compare plans and know what commissions insurance brokers are taking when policies are sold. She also sponsored a bill creating the Colorado Stem Cells Cure Fund, and a check-off on the Colorado income tax form. The check-off funded effort provides resources to allow new mothers across the state to donate the stem cells found in umbilical cord blood to a public cord blood bank, which in turn could be used for treatment of life-threatening illnesses. And Primavera was co-sponsor of a bill requiring insurance companies to cover vaccinations for human papillomavirus, which is a leading cause of cervical cancer."
"Broomfield residents are fortunate to have Dianne Primavera as their State Representative. Dianne's dedication and effectiveness have truly benefited the citizens and communities she serves."
From Metro North Chamber of Commerce, Business and Governmental Affairs Legislative Endorsements:
"Dianne Primavera has worked hard as a representative for HD 33 and is known as a strong supporter of health care and education. With experience on her side, she is now more positioned to move transportation priorities forward. Serving on a key transportation committee the Chamber looks to Dianne as a leader who can cross both sides of the aisle to develop transportation solutions for our region and the state. Additionally, Dianne understands the challenges of our budget and impacts of Tabor and Referendum C."
